Setting the system date and time is fairly easy on solaris. Because you can easily set the time from the command line, you can set the time on a server remotely but you have to do it as superuser (root user).
date mmddhhmmyy
The date command takes the syntax mmddhhmmyy, or “month day hour minute year”. You have to be superuser to set the time.
