Undeniably one of the most powerful speeches in recorded history. What’s most remarkable about the above is that Chaplin’s speech about fascism in The Great Dictator nearly 75 years ago is as, if not more, relevant today then it was back then. In addition, as Chaplin was demonized for telling the truth back then, administrations worldwide today, like the  current White House administration, persecuting truth tellers after pledging to protect them.. It is for these reasons, in an ever nearing Orwellian type age when telling the truth is a revolutionary act, that we must spread “The Greatest Speech Ever” far and wide.

THE GREAT DICTATOR’S SPEECH TRANSCRIPT:

We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other’s happiness – not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost…. Soldiers! don’t give yourselves to brutes – men who despise you – enslave you – who regiment your lives – tell you what to do – what to think and what to feel! Who drill you – diet you – treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men – machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don’t hate! Only the unloved hate – the unloved and the unnatural! Soldiers! Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty! You, the people have the power – the power to create machines. The power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.

We will now transfer the database connection file (DBC) from the application server of our EBS environment. We will transfer this to our local directory so that we can create database connections for JDeveloper so that we can run our OAF pages locally during development.

How to do it :

To transfer the .dbc file, perform the following tasks:

  1. Open WinSCP or FileZilla etc and connect to the application server.
  2. FTP the .dbc file to your local PC from the $INST_TOP/appl/fnd/12.0.0.0/secure dor you can say its path is something like this /u99/appprod52/inst32/apps/PROD_DB/appl/fnd/12.0.0/secure  directory on the application server to the jdevhome\jdev\dbc_files\secure directory as shown in the following screenshot:

One day Bohlool arrived at Abbasid Caliph Haroon Al-Rashid‘s palace and saw that the throne was empty. There was no one to stop him, so he unhesitatingly and fearlessly went and sat in Abbasid Caliph Haroon Al-Rashid‘s place. When the court slaves saw this, they immediately started whipping him and took him off the throne. Bohlool started crying.

Abbasid Caliph Harun Al-Rashid came and saw this; he asked those nearby why Bohlool was crying. A slave told him the whole story. Abbasid Caliph Haroon Al-Rashid scolded them and tried to cheer Bohlool up.

Bohlool said he was not crying at his condition, but at Haroon Al-Rashid’s condition. “I sat on the seat of Caliphate wrongfully for a few seconds and received such a beating and endured such misfortune; but you have been sitting on this throne all your life !! What troubles you must receive, yet you still don’t fear the consequence.

A Section About Mir Anees

Ali ibn Abu Talib says:
A man can be judged by his words.

And that is what this section is all about… It judges Mir Babar Ali Anees the man who awarded the title of Khuda-e-Sukhan, the Creator of words.

Indeed, some readers will reckon that Mir Anees can be judged as the best poet in the Urdu language only, however that is a shortsighted view of this great man’s phenomenal and unparalleled feat with words.
Poetry is not only about language, its about the perfect balance between each and every line that is composed. Thorough poetry is the beauty that originates in the flow of the words when they are read out… the rhythmic sounds that enter the heart through the ears.

A passionate fan of Mir Anees said about his poetry, “It seems as though my heart has tasted honey, a heavenly drink, through my ears.” Sometimes people do not understand the rare words used by Mir Anees in his poem, but satisfy the thirst of eloquence and elocution by just listening to the rhythm of his flowing words.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (First Prime Minister of India) had once said that Mir Anees was his essential reading on the day of Ashura only to let him shed more of his insularity.

According to Shibli Nomani no other poet has used as many words in their poetry as Mir Anees. And this doesn’t apply to urdu poets only. It applies to poets of all languages. Shibli Nomani also says that the poetic qualities and merits of Anees are not matched by any other poet.

Josh Maliahabadi has paid a rich tribute to Meer Anees in poetry. He says:A Section About Mir Anees,Dabeer tributes Anees, Dabeer tributes Mir Anees, Mir Anees, Mir Anees poet, Mir Anees poetry, Mir Anees tributes, Mir Babar Ali Anees, Mir Babar Ali Anis, Mirza Dabeer tributes Mir Anees, poetry, Syed Taghi Abedi, Tajzia, Tajzia Yadgar-e-Anees, Tajzia Yadgar-e-Anis,Urdu Poet,Mir Anees.Meer Anees

Translated
Every breath of yours is the life of Gabrielle
You are the speakin Quran of the urdu language

Even though most of the non-Urdu speaking nations will not understand his speech. For the beauty of his melodic poems will be like the pleasant sound of a flowing rivulet, that relaxes the body and soul of the listener.
