The State Bank of Pakistan issued commemorative new Edhi coin worth Rs. 50. The Chairman of Edhi Foundation Abdul Sattar Edhi, the late philanthropist made up the largest ambulance network in the world and now the Edhi coins will be issued through the exchange counters of all the field offices of SBP Banking Services.
Keeping in mind the honorable services of Edhi Sahb, the government had decided to issue the new Edhi coin in a cabinet meeting held on July 2016. The coin features the face of Abdul Sattar Edhi on the backside and the front face will depict the star and crescent just like the normal Pakistani coins.
Speaking at the event, Faisal Edhi, the son of Abdul Sattar Edhi shared his views. He said,
This was one of the very lovely, spiritual show that came online on HUM TV. Basically it was a novel which was converted into a tv show. And no doubt the tv show was really good as well. All the actors played there role very very professionally.
