Doyen of the Progressive Writers’ Movement, Josh Malihabadi dominated the Urdu literary scene of the 20th century Indian sub-continent. Born on December 5, 1898 as Shabbir Hasan Khan in Malihabad, near Lucknow he studied at St Peter’s College, Agra and passed his Senior Cambridge examination in 1914. Josh subsequently studied Arabic and Persian and, in 1918, spent six months at Tagore’s university at Shantiniketan.
While working as in charge of the translation department of Jamia Osamania, Hyderabad, Josh wrote a poem against the oppressive Nizam and was exiled from the state. Josh then worked for Shalimar Film Company in Poona as songwriter for about four years.
Josh was known as “Shair-e-Inqilab”. He also got actively involved in the freedom struggle and became close to quite a few of the political leaders of that era, specially Jawahar Lal Nehru. His first collection of poems was published under the title of Rooh-e-Adab. The collections of his poetry include Shola-o-Shabnam, Junoon-o-Hikmat, Naqsh-o-Nigar, Fikr-o-Nishaat, Sunbal-o-Salaasal, Harf-o-Hikaayat and Sarod-o-Kharosh. Josh was editor of Aaj Kal and advisor to the All India Radio. He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 1954 by the President of India.
Josh was concerned with the state of Urdu in independent India and migrated to Pakistan in 1956, but was not well-received by the authorities and pro-establishment media of Pakistan for his iconoclastic ideas and socialistic leanings. His autobiography Yadon Ki Barat was published in 1966. He died on February 22, 1982.

Now you will know that it is truly said by the Hindu writter :
Hai aaj bhi zamanay maeyn charcha Hussain ka
Chalta hai kayenaat maeyn sikka Hussain ka
Bharat maeyn gar wo aatay, Bhagwan kahtay hum
har Hindu naam pooja maeyn japta Hussain ka
Iss maeyn naheen kalaam kay hum but parast haeyn
Aankhon say apni choomaeyn gay rauza Hussain ka
Hum paapion kay samnay Hur ki misaal hai
Chamkata hai naseeb ishara Hussain ka
Ahlay Wial to parrhtay haeyn kalma Hussain ka
Hum hindo’oan nay parrh liya kalma Hussain ka
Sar apna jo patakti hai piyason ki yaad maeyn
Laytee hai naam Gunga o Jumna Hussain ka
Jai Singh panaah mangay gee mujh say narak ki aag
Maeyn Hindu hoon, magar hoon maeyn shaida Hussain ka

Translation :
Even to this day, Hussain’s name is well known
Hussain’s name is common currency for all mankind
If he had come to India, we would have called him Bhagwan
Every Hindu would have honored him in his pooja (worship)
There is no doubt that we (Hindus) worship idols
Indeed, we will kiss his grave with all our affection
For us sinners, there is the example of Hur
Hussain’s cause brought Hur to the truth.
Muslims read the kalma of the Prophet
We Hindus have already read the kalma of Hussain
In memory of the thirsty (martyrs of Karbala), the waves lash on
The banks of the Gunga and Jumna remembering Hussain
Jai Singh, the fire of hell will never touch me
I am a Hindu but I love Hussain

6th of September For Pakistan
September 6th, 2012, posted in DAtEs iN a YeAR, PAKiSTANThe 6th of September is a golden chapter in the history of Pakistan, when Pakistan, its military and people stood united in 1965 in defense of Pakistan. Later in 1971, taking advantage of the civil war in East Pakistan, attacked and dismembered Pakistan in a humiliating defeat. In the first war the nation was united in the second war it was fighting with itself.
“Why is it, one may ask, that we still celebrate this day as the Defense of Pakistan Day when during the passage of 35 years since, we had another war thrust on us by India, with disastrous results and dismemberment of the country. In many ways people strongly feel that it is now more important to recall and remember the 6th of September as it was our ‘finest hour’ to borrow a famous Churchillian phrase. The 6th of September is important to us as a nation because the Indo-Pakistan war that followed was fought by Pakistan as a nation united in its determination and resolve to halt and beat back Indian multi-dimensional attacks against Pakistan,†as Lt. Gen. (Retd) Sardar F. S. Lodi states in The Nation newspaper, on Sept. 6, 2000
Defense Day is celebrated on 6th September every year in Pakistan. It is celebrated on the memory of martyred people who gave sacrifices of their life for the defense of the country. Pak – India War II was fought in 1965. This was ended on 6th September and both countries stopped damaging each other by using weapons etc. on 6th September, Defense Day of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This war affected financially both countries but none of them could really dominate. As Pakistan remained saved, Defense Day is celebrated on 6th September.
Pakistan and India, both countries fought that war for the issue of Kashmir but this issue remained unsolved. A lot of people lost their lives from both countries and a lot of weapons were used. At last on 6th September, this war was ended with the support of UN.
Pakistan celebrates this day yet just for telling native of Pakistan that how people were brave at the critical time and were proud of offering sacrifices of their lives for the defense of Pakistan. Everyone must be wise and brave like martyred people at any critical time. No one should feel any kind of hesitation for offering sacrifice of his life at the time of need.
The day of 6th September starts with special prayers for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan. President and Prime Minister and many ministers of Islamic Republic of Pakistan address on 6th September from special functions of Defence Day.
