An Article Must Read :

You know what, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), I wanted to exercise the ‘none of the above’ option in my vote but you backed out by deciding against introducing it.

I don’t know, nor do I care if I was alone in rejoicing the commission’s decision to put in that option in the ballot paper, because for the first time, I thought I would go and vote my heart out.

I would rather go to the ballot and tell the world that none of these people represent me. This is so much better than just sitting back and not casting one’s vote at all.

For the first time, I thought I had a chance to vent my anger and my disagreement with the people for whom I was nothing but a vote, the people who would refuse to even recognise me after getting elected as my ‘representative’. No sir, this was not against the ‘system’. It was against the people who have been infecting this system, not letting it grow for decades.

Nor was it against ‘democratic norms’. Why would it be?

I have the right to reject anyone, or all who I believe are incapable of representing me.

Why would anyone, in a democracy, not let me reject all those who I believe were not even aware of my name, my needs, who do not share my problems and were least bothered to share them?

Some argued that run off polls resulting from more people exercising the ‘none of the above’ option would prove an extra financial burden. Sir, this is our money that is being spent on electing our future representatives, the people who we have to entrust with making laws for us to make our lives happier.

Let it be spent a hundred times until we get the right person. A wrong choice would deprive us of our hard earned money by corruption anyway.

Others, particularly the politicians who felt threatened by the ECP’s decisions, said it would be ‘anti-democracy’ and would undermine the politicians. They said no one has a right to reject in a democracy.

These self-appointed politicians need to know that more than ‘accepting’, it is the rejecting that people have the right to. So this time again, I will not vote because I do not want to vote for the ‘lesser evil’.

Conceived, as nothing but a mass of cells.
Growing everyday inside the mother, the feeling of joy that parents feel, when they think about their little baby boy, when the mother couldn’t sleep because of him, never did complain.
When the father had hectic days but still a smile on his face every time he thought about his son , and then , after nine months ,  a beautiful baby boy ready to take on the world with his angel like smile and fragile body.
The joy that his first step brought, the feeling of your own self being conserved in your son and the never ending father-son emotional moments.
The mother’s cry when her son got ill and the father’s fury at someone who hurt him.
The bundles of love he would get every now and then, and the apple of her elder sister’s eyes.
Grows up to be a perfect school boy, playing, growing every day.
The pride on his parents face, the feeling of joy brought about by those innocent questions.
Enters university for his professional education, seeing new people, inspiring some and loving others.
Finds the perfect girl to hold his hand.
And out of nowhere.
– Gun to his temple, Hands in his pockets.
Nothing found from him , so shoot , shoot and run like you’ve no soul , no conscience and no respect for the human life.
Lying there bleeding , nothing but a mass of cells.

* Dedicated to all the sons of this soil , who’ve lost their lives to the terrorism , to the politically organized crimes , and to the self righteous bastards that rule our country. Respect , yourself and others , before its too late *

So Persevere, Sunshine. Have Hope Always

So Persevere, Sunshine. Have Hope Always,Persevere,Sunshine,Hope ,Always,GOD,ALLAH,Islam,Muslims

There are many things we cry over, and there are many things that sends a chill into our heart. Death and illnesses, poverty and bankruptcies – these are the stuffs that will turn our day grey, as we sigh “Oh dear me…”

In our conversation last night, Heche said that “Well, you gotta learn how to swing the bat every time God throws you a curve ball.”

“Well, I don’t want to play baseball with God. He plays mean!” I protested.

But of course, we have no choice in the matter. We have all the choices in the world, but not this one. And of course, God doesn’t play mean. He lets me off so many times that I cannot even count.

In fact God has rigged the game for us to win. But to win, we must win over something – Which is to conquer our tears and our fears, and be that person God knows we can be, if only we would persevere.

So persevere, sunshine.
Have hope always.
