Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three.
Stanley Wolpert

On December 25, 1876, Mithibai gave birth to a son, the first of seven children. The fragile infant who appeared so weak that it weighed a few pounds less than normal. But Mithibai was unusually fond of her little boy, insisting he would grow up to be an achiever and later that turned out to be true.

” Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah will be referred as Quaid in the article

Although this is by far from being an exhaustive list and the more you read and know about this great man, the more it will continues to evolve and unfold, just the way life does.

Quaids moto: Unity, Faith and Discipline.

Quaid, a lawyer, who always abide law, follow rules and play by the rules of the game have already set trends for other leaders by making himself as an example and any modern leader can achieve excellence by following his footsteps. When it comes to speech, persuasion, management, people skills, negotiate, influence Quaid, really sets the bar. But thats not it, he was a fashion icon as well, who was famous for his dressing.

Secrets of success:
Work hard, work hard and work hard.

Management:
Quaid, showed a new technique of management. He showed us that management theories wont bring much to the table and Management plans wont work either. Its about the people, who will either get the job done or mess it. Lead the people, show them the right path, trust them and empower them.

Persuasion:
He not only persuaded the muslims to have a seperate nation but also made it realize to the british empire and the hindu samraj.

” I particularly appeal to our intelligentsia and Muslim students to come forward and rise to the occasion. You have performed wonders in the past. You are still capable of repeating the history. You are not lacking in the great qualities and virtues in comparison with the other nations. Only you have to be fully conscious of that fact and to act with courage, faith and unity.
Message to Pakistan Day, issued from Delhi, March 23, 1943

Follow your dream:
Muslim India was beset by socio-economic frustration. At such a time Jinnah guided a virtually rudderless Muslim League. Aziz refers to Jinnah as the greatest Muslim leader of the 20th century who was able to turn a dream state of Pakistan into a reality.

(Quttabuddin Aziz)

He was the originator of the dream that became Pakistan, architect of the State and father of the worlds largest Muslim nation. Mr. Jinnah was the recipient of a devotion and loyalty seldom accord to any man.
(Harry S Truman, US President)

Think before you speak:
Quaid was a man of his words, he thought well before he spoke. If he made a promise he make sure he kept his words. During his last days, although he was extremely ill but made it to the inauguration of the State Bank of Pakistan because he had promised he would be there.

He advised,”If ever you make a promise, think a hundred times, but once you make a promise, honor your promise.

Never get Corrupt:
If we look at history, may be very few very people were backed up by hundred million people but Quaid was the sole voice of those hundred million Muslims and yet remained uncorrupted by that power.

Jinnah is Incorruptible and Brave
(Gandhi’Interview with Louis Fischer)

Devotion:
Gandhi died by the hands of an assassin; Jinnah died by his devotion to Pakistan.

(Lord Pethick Lawrence,My Brother(1987),biography by Fatima Jinnah.)

Push your limits:
Never give up. Nothing should stop you, no matter what the circumstances are, target should be the focal point and eyes should be on the goals. An old aged ill man with tubercloses showed us by an example.

Challenge:
Quaid, never afraid of challenges, rather he challenged the pros in their own backyard.

Companions:
Quaid, showed us to surround oneself with smart people, Smart people will guide you, raise you up and help you grow to your full potential.

Vision:
Quaid, was a visionary leader, he had a huge vision about the creation of Pakistan. He showed us that if you want to dream, dream big. If you can dream it, you can do it.

Focus to be positive and not negative:
Quaid, used all his energy in positive exposure of himself and his followers.

Our object should be peace within, and peace without. We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial friendly relations with our immediate neighbours and with the world at large. “
Lahore, August 15th, 1947

Find a way:
Where there is a will, there is a way. There’s always a way and there’s more than one way to skin the cat.   Never get stuck.  If you really want it, you’ll find a way.

Equal rights:
Equal rights for everyone and no distinction.

I have always maintained that no nation can ever be worthy of its existence that cannot take its women along with the men. No struggle can ever succeed without women participating side by side with men. There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. There is a great competition and rivalry between the two. There is a third power stronger than both, that of the women.
Speech at Islamia College for women, March 25, 1940

” Whatever you may be, and whatever you are, you are a Muslim , you have carved out a territory, a vast territory . It is all yours. It does not belong to a Punjabi or a Sindhi or a Pathan. There is white too in the lovely flag of Pakistan. The white signifies the non- Muslim minorities.”

Honesty, sincerity, faith and loyalty:

Work honestly and sincerely and be faithful and loyal to the Pakistan Government. I can assure you that there is nothing greater in this world than your own conscience and, when you appear before God, you can say that you performed your duty with the highest sense of integrity, honesty and with loyalty and faithfulness. ”
(Broadcast Message February, 1948)

” He set a great example to other statesmen to follow by his skill in negotiation, his integrity and his honesty .
Director, Center of South Asian Studies, Gordon Johnson

Today Pakistan is a developing country each 23rd march Pakistan day in every year reminds us that we were the potential people to make Pakistan and we are the same who will make it developed.

Background History :

Meeting of Muslim League:

Failure of 1857 war of independence was linked of this series. Muslims thinking were changing under circumstances. Behavior of many other nations in the sub-continent Muslims forced to struggle for their rights. Pakistan’s concept was not a creation of an emergency or emotional situation. Muslims had thought for centuries and taken a decision in the light of experience. Resolution of Pakistan has a milestone position to Pakistan movement. On 20 March 1940 annual meeting of the Muslim League began in Minto Park, Lahore.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Speech:

Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah presided over the meeting. In his speech on March 22 he explained the India’s political background. Muslims and Hindus are two separate nations. These both nations are religiously, historically, culturally and many other aspects are identified separately from each other. Islam and Hinduism as a religion in the deep difference. Principles of Hinduism comparable with Islam do not have any relevance. Islam is religion to offer a complete system. That such a system is fully functional.

Establishment and concept of separate Muslim state Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to prove to several international examples. The word Pakistan was not used anywhere in Lahore Resolution. But as soon as the resolution approved. Hindu newspapers and all India Congress had naming the resolution, as resolution of Pakistan and Hindus had started opposition against it. Finally, after long struggle and many sacrifices Pakistan came into being in 14 August 1947.

The Day Event:

Pakistan Day (23rd March) is commencing with traditional way by Pakistani troops with 21 guns salute.

We Must Respect our Home Country Independence:

Once a noble man said that, this home country of Pakistan is just like a camel of the Prophet Hazrat Saleh (P.B.U.H). The way the people of Prophet Saleh have not treated the camel with dignity. Almighty Allah revealed the torment because of their wrong deeds. Thus we have not even respected our country. The country is suffering because of the current disturbance and uncertainty situation is because of this worthlessness. That’s why we are also now suffering from all kinds of problems. If we now do not struggle for the honor and dignity of this country. Our situation will be not less than like the nation of Prophet Hazrat Saleh (P.B.U.H). We should all of us live in their places to fulfill their responsibilities. It is our moral duty. WAKE UP PAKISTANIS !

Difference Between Want and Need

Want_vs_Need
What if I tell you that there is a Bill Gates in each and every one of you, would you believe me? Well let me tell you that this is absolutely true. The fact remains that you have to discover him and use his abilities to bring about an IT friendly Pakistan.
Need is the mother of invention. In the last 25 years or so Information Technology has developed so rapidly that it has modernized the face of the world, including Pakistan.
Every one of us nowadays is walking in the fast lane. Due to time being a scarce resource we all need to conserve it and to use our time with utmost care we need quick and efficient IT based system in Pakistan.
Sometime back while passing in front of banks one would notice long, endless queues of people waiting to pay their utility bill but now due to advancement in Pakistan’s IT fields we have the facility of paying our bills online or even through a credit card. We have a 24-hour online help service for each and every department with professionalized and customer friendly personnel to tend to our needs. I’m sure we’ve all heard of ATMs that is the automated teller machines these electronically computerized gadgets have revolutionized our lifestyle- now we don’t have to wait in lines to withdraw money we can simply slip in our card and do the transaction even in the middle of the night. We are identified through our National Identity Cards these Id cards are not only recognized in Pakistan but are also accepted and identified in different countries across the world. Our passports an essential document used for travelling shall now within a few days become computerized, what else could one ask for?
Therefore I can safely conclude that need is important but there are few things which we want as well and if it was not for want we would never want to be successful, never want to be free, never want to make Pakistan a better place to live in.
Let us pledge today with a sincere heart that we shall fulfill the dream of our founder the Quaid and Allama Iqbal, which was perceived more than 60 years ago.
